Religion in our time has been captured by the tourist mindset. Religion is understood as a visit to an attractive site to be made when we have adequate leisure. But to be a Pilgrim means we are people who spend our lives going someplace, going to God, and whose path for getting there is the way, Jesus Christ.
As imitators of Jesus, we are asking ourselves, “How did Jesus live in relationship? What life patterns did He demonstrate that we can follow?”
Cater to the majority's demands and their own perceived needs, and you get to keep your audience. The problem with this thinking is that it’s too small....
"Isn't it selfish of us to limit ministry to smaller expressions if we have the opportunity to gather large crowds? Why bother investing in only a few people if we can reach thousands?”
When you reject the transactional and embrace the familial, you'll find that you gain more when you're no longer giving to get.

Curious and hopeful, they responded and spent the rest of the day with Him. I'm not sure how they passed the time, but apparently it was so incredible that they went back and told their family, "We've found the Messiah!"
