Through Scripture study, relational loyalty, and honest questions, we learn to hear God's voice then do something about what we've heard (Hear + Respond). These groups are where spiritual partnerships are formed and practical equipping for life-on-mission is fostered (Gather + Go).
For a couple hours twice monthly, a table-full of us gather in homes around our city. We’ll start with a shared a meal then move into an intentional time of learning and discussion. There will be facilitators and worth-following mentors in our groups, but you won't find any "talking heads.” This is an interactive exchange, not a monologue. Understanding that the Church is a "body" with many necessary parts, we believe we need more than what any one person/leader has to offer. We need each other!
Our kids are not an afterthought. They're significant. As a general principle, we seek inclusion wherever possible so that each generation can invest in and learn from one another. This is just one reason the shared meal at the beginning of each House Group gathering is so significant! After the meal, we bless our kids and send them to meet in their own Kids Group for a short lesson and an activity facilitated in a safe space. We encourage willing and responsible adult group-members to invest in our younger generations and accept a once-seasonal rotation leading a Kids Group.
